Teragren’s hard and durable alternative to traditional butcher block delivers an intriguing and subtle parquet pattern of end-grain bamboo into modern kitchens. Teragren’s furniture-grade end-grain butcher block is made with a formaldehyde-free and food-safe adhesive perfect for table tops as well as kitchen counters and islands. When used for food preparation areas, an environmentally friendly, food-safe finish is required. (See installation guidelines.) Sealing with a penetrating finish on all sides is necessary to maintain proper moisture balance.

Teragren’s traditional bamboo countertop is perfect for kitchen applications because it is naturally bacteria-resistant, durable – 25% harder than red oak – and the mineral oil finish is food-safe. The Vertical Grain Caramelized face with a contrasting Chestnut strand bamboo core provides a beautiful visual accent to any kitchen or bathroom design or other interior application. Choose Natural with a contrasting Wheat strand core or Caramelized with a contrasting Chestnut core.

Teragren’s prefinished strand countertops, made with XcoraTM technology, are extremely durable – 154% harder than red oak. Since bamboo is naturally bacteria-resistant, these countertops are ideal for any area in the kitchen where traditional hardwood surfaces might be used.
