The BsaB Beeswax Coral Candle is a conversation starter complete with its own unique story that is a delight to share.
This candle does not have to be lit to draw attention to itself. The unique design is created by hand-pouring the beeswax into a proprietary solution and container. Once the beeswax hardens BsaB simply pulls the beeswax out to reveal a one-of-a-kind beautiful candle. This candle has a solid core that houses the wick. Once alight, the flame burns down inside the candle creating a dappled phenomenon-a soft glow that lights a room with scent and style.
The beeswax is gathered at the end of the natural hive cycle in a way that does not harm the bees. It is non-toxic, non-allergenic, naturally aromatic, and produces negative ions which clean the air from dust, odors, pollen, and toxins. Because beeswax is a precious natural commodity, an extra wick is included with each of the beeswax candles so you can make your own beeswax candles with any remaining beeswax. This wax emits the light but distinctive aroma of natural sweetness. The combination of the naturally relaxing aroma and the soft glow of the flame create a beautiful centerpiece or accent.

The Soy Glass Candle Story:
The BsaB Aromatherapy Soy Wax in Glass Candle is a simple but elegant addition to any home or spa. Every element of this soy candle, from the essential oils to the wicks and packaging has been carefully selected and gathered to the central location of Thailand where BsaB’s environmentally-friendly Creation Center completes the design.
BsaB’s 100% soy wax is hand blended and hand-poured into an elegant refined glass cup that can be re-used as a kitchen accessory. Each wick is 100% pure unbleached cotton that is lead free and metal free. The fragrances used are 100% aromatherapy essential oils containing a generous 3% blend of essential oils in each soy candle. BsaB soy wax and essential oil blends are so safe they can be used as moisturizers or massage oils to smooth and moisturize skin. The high quality wicks, the high-grade 100% soy wax, and the fact that BsaB does not use chemicals in their fragrances all contribute to a very clean burning low soot candle.

Soy Bamboo Candles
The Bamboo Candle Story:
Grown in Northern Thailand’s lush forests, the self-rejuvenating bamboo grass continues to grow after being cut. Our bamboo is purchased from family-owned bamboo plantation farms. It is an intricate process to create these stunning bamboo pillars. First, the bamboo is measured for appropriate diameter, next they are cut for size, the outer skin is removed and the inner core is smoothly sanded down. BsaB then kiln dries the bamboo before treating it further. Once the first drying is finished they treat it with a fire retardant and stain it before kiln drying it again. As a finishing touch, the pillar is varnished and polished to showcase its exquisite details. The now refined pillar is hand-filled with BsaB’s 100% soy wax with your choice of aromatherapy essential oils and a 100% lead-free pure cotton wick and finally it is covered using a 100% bio-degradable cornstarch plastic called PLA. Soy Coconut Candles
The Soy Coconut Candle Story:
Coconuts are a natural fruit produced in tropical areas of the world. BsaB has researched and developed a method to harvest and create coconut candles using the coconut shells as holders. Just like all their wood products, our coconut is furniture grade and natural.
BsaB is currently perfecting the process of including their essential oil scents. They are also currently researching 100% natural dyes such as paprika and algae which can be used to dye soy wax naturally. (Now the candles are not colored).
BsaB’s coconut scented candles are 100% soy wax candles, each hand processed using the highest quality and consistancy. The coconut candles also float and can be used in tubs, ponds or water features. They are a wonderful way to lighten the mood of any gathering.

Why Soy Wax?
Soy Wax is Cleaner, Healthier, and Greener than Paraffin
BsaB All Natural Candles is dedicated to using only the finest available ingredients in our creations, that’s why we use only 100% soybean wax for our soy candles. Most candles are made with chemical distillates or paraffin which is the final byproduct in the petroleum (fuel) refining process. Alternatively, soy wax is made from soybeans which means that it is a renewable resource, it burns cleaner, does not emit petroleum toxins, and lasts longer (an average of three times longer) than paraffin wax.
Although a candle can be called “soy wax” if it contains as little as 25% soy wax, BsaB Candles uses only 100% pure soy wax in their soy candles.
In short, BsaB Soy Wax is:

• clean, releasing only a small amount of white soot

Safety Tip:
The maximum recommended burn time for BsaB Candles is four (4) hours per burn. Burning longer than this time is dangerous especially when combined with improper wick trimming. An improperly trimmed wick can create a high flame and temperature forming a deep melt pool that may fatigue even our heat-safe glass over time. Each time before you light your BsaB soy candle, trim the wick down to ¼”. Do not allow wick trimmings to fall into your wax melt pool. Always burn candles in areas free from drafts.
Footnotes:
Soy wax is all-natural, it will not produce the thick black soot that you see on paraffin candle containers, it produces only a lighter, white soot. Using too large of a wick or the incorrect wick may produce more soot.
Research suggests that breathing paraffin fumes from a burning paraffin candle in an enclosed room; may have the same detrimental effect as inhaling significant second-hand tobacco smoke, or even the exhaust fumes of a small diesel engine.
Essential Oils vs. Chemical Fragrances
BsaB prides itself in using the highest-grade 100% natural essential oils rather than chemical and synthetic fragrances. Their essential oils and blends are pure and undiluted with no additives or fillers.
Essential Oils
Essential oils are natural aromatic oils extracted from plants. They are sometimes referred to as the essence or life-source of plants and are often used for aromatherapy. There are about 150 different individual essential oils all with unique scents and properties.
Chemical or Synthetic Fragrances
Chemical and synthetic-based fragrances are usually manufactured to duplicate or copy a certain scent. The first step is usually to analyze various essential oils and essential oil blends to figure out the individual chemical make-up. Chemists then blend the various chemicals to make the desired scents.
The National Academy of Sciences reported in 1986 that 95% of chemicals used in synthetic and chemical fragrances are derived from petroleum and include many carcinogenic materials. Many of these chemicals can have adverse side effects including cancer, birth defects, headaches and dizziness. The EPA released a study in 2001 reporting the synthetic and chemical fragrances were shown to cause “possible mutagenic and genotoxic effects.” The real problem with fragrances is that manufacturers are not required to disclose the exact ingredients used. So, basically you never really know what is in a fragrance. Simply put, chemical and synthetic fragrances should be avoided and definitely should not be burned anywhere around you.
How can you tell them apart?
This becomes a problem as well because manufacturers try and mimic genuine essential oils or even try and appear as if they are using essential oils. It is quite cheap and easy to make chemical and synthetic fragrances. Some companies will say “made with pure or natural essential oils” but never tell you the exact amount. At BsaB when they say 100% essential oils they mean 100% pure undiluted highest-grade essential oils blended by French Perfumists. Many companies will try and appear like they are using essential oils but in actuality they are not. The ones who say “made with essential oils” or “made using essential oils” are companies to look out for. Be sure that you use only 100% natural essential oils which are undiluted without fillers added.

BsaB 100% Cotton Wicks vs. Others
The wick of a candle is just as important as the type of candle wax. When you burn a chemically processed or metallically reinforced wick, it can release large amounts of soot into the air you breathe, possibly causing harmful health side effects. Unlike most wicks on the market, BsaB Candle Wicks are 100% cotton, 100% lead-free, and 100% bleach and chemical free.
Most candle wicks are reinforced with lead and other metals and many are also made with synthetic materials which may even contain petroleum based ingredients. These wicks are then bleached to make them appear white. These impure materials and chemicals may be released into the air when you burn the candle.
The amount of soot a candle produces is also directly correlated to the quality of the wick. Poor quality cheap wicks and chemically processed wicks usually produce much higher amounts of soot than do 100% pure cotton wicks. BsaB Pure Cotton Wicks are cleaner and healthier, BsaB simply will not compromise.
BsaB searched for nearly two months before finding a manufacturer in Germany who would provide them with high quality, natural, chemical free, European-grown cotton wicks. These wicks are interwoven with cotton paper filaments for stabilization making our wicks as unique as the candles.
